HOW I WORK
My approach, based on women’s centred transformational coaching, works at the level of identity.
This means changing who you are and how you see the world, which enables new confident thoughts, choices and actions to become second-nature. Change at this level is a must if you’re to let go of unhelpful patterns and behaviours.
In the process, you fully reconnect with your authentic self and your ability to confidently take charge of your life.
However you’re struggling, we’ll rebuild your inner confidence architecture - so you can make assured decisions with clarity, speak and lead with ease, and finally go after what you truly want and deserve.
Coaching takes place in a safe, confidential space of connection where you’re free to heal vulnerability and become your empowered and most confident you.

Low self-confidence isn’t merely personal - it’s political.
From childhood, women are taught to accommodate, to support, to defer to others and take up less space. We’re objectified, judged, and labelled in ways men are not:
“Assertive” becomes “bossy.” “Passionate” becomes “too emotional.”
So, we internalise the message that being visible is risky, and being ambitious is unattractive.
That’s why so many brilliant midlife women – like you - wake up one day and think: “WHY am I still holding back?”

MY JOURNEY TO CONFIDENCE
I spent decades performing confidence for a living - as a top-flight broadcaster at many of the UK’s biggest radio and TV stations.
On the outside, I was thriving: I impressed, and I was officially a success.
But behind the scenes I battled crippling panic attacks. My public speaking anxiety prompted sick-making dread each time I stepped into the spotlight. For years I hoped that if I just got on one more stage, I’d finally be free to enjoy the magic without all the stomach-churning angst. Yet the fear remained.
Everything changed when I was personally coached by Dr Claire Zammit. Her women-centred coaching finally helped me to heal the deep fear and anxiety – so much so I was inspired to retrain as a coach in the same modality.
In so doing, I discovered that:

If you feel you’re settling in life, if you know there’s more to what you could do or be – then lack of self-confidence is holding you back. But beyond that, if you’re struggling to create plans, make decisions – if you’re caught up in what you feel you should be doing, and there’s no YOU at the centre of your life – your self-confidence has been eroded.
Maybe you used to feel confident, but now you’re full of self-doubt. This is very common in midlife - as challenges or changes prompt us to re-evaluate our lives. Or, we feel that what used to ‘work’ doesn’t, anymore.
We are a generation of women who set out in careers believing we were equal to men. But to succeed, we had to play the game they built and had to squeeze into rules that we didn’t much question. In midlife we often feel the pull to greater purpose – but if we want to really grant ourselves permission to live as we really want to, we need to trust ourselves and our intuition.
Being true to yourself requires solid self-confidence. Just as much as overcoming a fear of speaking up or playing small. As I have come to learn via my own midlife transformation, and working with my clients, when we reconnect to self, and to our authentic confidence, we take charge of our lives. Then, the rest can finally unfold. Choices become easy. And you’re reenergised as you start to fully enjoy being YOU.

I trained with Dr Claire Zammit in Women’s Centred Transformational coaching. Shortly before that I achieved a first-class degree in Psychology from the Open University, and a Masters with distinction in Cultural and Gender Inequalities at LSE.
My approach is therefore informed by my deep understanding of both the psychology of the individual, and the ways in which women are specifically held back by cultural and societal messaging.
Additionally, as a certified facilitator in Max Strom’s Breathwork modality, which powerfully supports grief, anxiety and panic attacks, I use these techniques as and when appropriate.

It’s very common to feel hesitant about making change – even whilst we yearn for something different. Humans are programmed to fear the unfamiliar – which can make us believe the pain of being stuck is preferable to the fear of the unknown.
The important thing to know is that powerful change doesn’t mean blowing up your life! You actually attain more power to create what you want, and you get to better choose what stays, and what goes.
Change happens at the pace you decide. So, whilst you might be surprised at the new ways you start experiencing aspects of your life, it all serves to empower you – not create more challenges.

For many people, confidence feels distasteful and all about showing off and arrogance. But in my experience (especially in showbiz!) many people like that are actually deeply insecure and their confidence is skin deep (or not even that!).
However, think about women with real confidence. People like Michelle Obama, Jennifer Anniston, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (my faves!). They are hugely likeable whilst they confidently go about the world - enjoying their deserved success and attention with ease.
Bottom line: once you build your confidence from the inside out – YOU get to choose how you put it out there into the world.

I can’t emphasise enough how confidence is not about being a big personality or being the loud voice or presence in the room. It’s your birth right!
Furthermore, once introverts connect with their confidence, they develop special superpowers. Because introverts are more likely to be discerning and take their time sharing their thoughts and ideas.
Confident introverts hold their own in quieter and often more impressive ways. So don’t give up on your chance to shine and have an impact – or to live with the inner peace of real confidence.
